Service: Document Management
Incoming client contracts were manually triaged by paralegals, classified, and routed for attorney review—a process averaging 45 minutes per document. We automated the intake pipeline end-to-end.
The firm received an average of 340 documents per day across email, client portal uploads, and physical mail scans. Manual classification consumed significant paralegal capacity and introduced routing errors that delayed time-sensitive matters.
We deployed a document intelligence pipeline using Azure Form Recognizer for OCR and layout extraction, a fine-tuned classification model for document type and matter routing, and a SharePoint-based workflow for attorney assignment and status tracking.
Automated classification now handles 91% of incoming documents with greater than 97% accuracy. Average intake processing time fell from 45 minutes to 12 minutes. The firm reassigned three FTEs from document intake to substantive legal work.
